Our academy was formed in mid-2019 to support the growing interest and development of the sport of Snooker in Canada. Our goal is to develop the next generations of Canadian Snooker players and Champions, and to help put Canadian Snooker firmly back in the spotlight on the World Stage.
Whether you are new to the sport, or a keen player looking to improve your skills, Canadian Snooker Academy can help you to achieve your goals. We will work with you to develop a personalized program which will concentrate on developing your skills, whilst also focusing on areas for improvement & growth.
A weekly COVID-19 lockdown series from the Canadian Snooker Academy aimed at Snooker enthusiasts and novices alike, "til Snooker do us Part" follows David Puddy, a WPBSA Level 2 Snooker coach, and his Wife Kristina Puddy, an absolute Snooker beginner, as he guides her through the relevant steps of learning how to play the Sport of Snooker. Filmed at the HQ of Canadian Snooker Academy in Simcoe, Ontario, each episode covers different aspects of the World renowned WPBSA "White to Black" training method, and follows Kristina's progress along the way.

As in any Marriage after the Honeymoon comes "the Adjustment Phase" and with Snooker its very similar. After the initial introduction of lesson 1, and working on practicing the fundamentals for a week, now comes the next step which is to apply those techniques in more realistic situations in order to grow the excitement, but as we know this does not always happen right away...........
Phase 3 of a marriage is sometimes called "the Great Escape". This is where a relationship is tested, and the work really begins. Lesson 3 in this series emulates this phase in the "marriage" between Player and Table.
Will the initial passion be replaced by frustration.......?.
Now that the honeymoon is well and truly over, and the basics have been covered - in the "Reassessment" phase, couples become more accustomed to their situation and any quirks.......

During the 2020 COVID19 lockdown we raised over $2200 for Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, by challenging Snooker players (with tables at home) to pot as many blue balls out of 10 as possible.

With a huge increase in prize money, and more countries than even before involved, it is only a matter of time before North America gets on board as well.
